Svetlana Bellon began painting at a very young age, inspired by her mother, who was also a painter. Art has always been part of her life, and over the years she has explored many creative paths — from painting to tapestries, ceramics, jewelry, furniture, and even clothing.

Formal rules were never the driving force; intuition was. She paints with heart, allowing each brushstroke to tell a story of wonder, warmth, and connection.

Svetlana paints in many styles, from traditional landscapes to complex impressionistic abstractions. Her work is vivid, luminous, and energetic, expressing movement, emotion, and the constant rhythm of change. She admits to working in explosive creative bursts, followed by quieter periods during which her son gently (or not so gently) take over her time.

Often described as distinctive, passionate, energetic, and intensely brilliant, Svetlana is a self-proclaimed perfectionist who enjoys experimenting with a variety of materials to create dreamlike paintings inspired by nature, emotion, and the changing seasons.

Her inspiration comes largely from travel. Svetlana has lived in Africa, the United States and Europe, and has exhibited and sold her work across four continents. Her collectors range from seasoned art lovers to, memorably, the man who fixed her air conditioner — proving that art truly can pay for itself.

When she’s not painting, she enjoys cooking, eating, drinking (in that order), decorating, traveling whenever possible, and dancing enthusiastically to 80s music.
